Delivery times can vary slightly based on customs processing or seasonal demand.

Customs Duties & Import Taxes

In 2025, the United States revised customs rules. The former $800 de minimis for low-value imports has been reduced or removed for many product types. As a result, most international shipments are now subject to import duties and taxes.

Typical Import Charges

Charge TypeTypical Rate / Rule
Base tariff on UK goods~10% (introduced April 2025)
Product-specific duty2–5% average for RF / electronic components
Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF)0.3464% of shipment value (min $27.75 / max $538.40)

Illustrative example – $200 order: ≈ $20 base tariff + $6 duty + $27.75 MPF → ≈ $53.75 total import cost. Actual duties depend on the HTS codes declared for each product.

Understanding HTS Codes

Every imported product is classified under a Harmonised Tariff Schedule (HTS) code. US Customs uses these codes to determine duty rates. We declare accurate HTS codes on each FedEx commercial invoice to ensure transparent processing.

Product TypeExample HTS Code
Coaxial Connectors & Adaptors8536.901.000
Coaxial Cable and Assemblies8544.492.000
Attenuators8533.290.000
Couplers, Splitters and Power Dividers8529.108.090

Customs Process

  1. Order & dispatch: stocked items usually ship the same day; custom cables typically 2–4 working days to build.
  2. US Customs review: FedEx submits electronic customs data; CBP assesses duties using the declared HTS codes.
  3. Duty payment: FedEx pays duties on your behalf and invoices you before or upon delivery.
  4. Delivery: once duties are settled, FedEx releases your parcel for final delivery.
