Applications
SHV connectors are used in laboratory and instrumentation environments where voltages exceed standard BNC ratings. Common applications include nuclear instrumentation modules (NIM), particle detectors, high voltage power supplies, photomultiplier tubes, and test equipment. The recessed centre contact and bayonet coupling provide protection against accidental contact with live conductors.
Environmental Performance
Tested to MIL-STD-202 for thermal shock, moisture resistance and corrosion. RoHS compliant.
Note: SHV connectors are not intermateable with BNC or MHV series despite similar bayonet coupling.
Crimping
Use crimping tool CRT-1 or CRT-2 with crimp insert INSERT-B.
