10KV Jack Bulkhead Connector for RG58 — Crimp Termination

The 10KV-8105-0058 is a high voltage coaxial bulkhead receptacle in the Kings 10KV series interface format, manufactured by Jyebao. This jack (conventional female) accepts RG58 and equivalent coaxial cables via crimp termination, providing a reliable panel-feedthrough connection rated for 10KVDC working voltage (15KVDC test voltage at sea level).

A key feature of this connector is its IP67 rating when mated, offering dust-tight and temporary water immersion protection. This makes it suitable for outdoor, industrial, and harsh-environment installations where standard 10KV connectors may not provide adequate environmental sealing.

Construction and Materials

The connector features a brass body with tin-zinc-copper-alloy plating and a gold-plated brass centre contact over nickel-phosphorus alloy. The insulator is high density polyethylene (HDPE), and a silicone gasket provides the IP67 seal. Bulkhead mounting uses a 1/2-28 UNEF-2A thread requiring a 12.7 mm (0.500″) panel hole, with a 19.05 mm hex nut for tightening. Corrosion resistance is tested to MIL-STD-202, Method 101, Condition B. Operating temperature range is -55°C to +85°C.

Typical Applications

10KV high voltage connectors are commonly found in military and defence systems, nuclear instrumentation and control, particle accelerator laboratories, medical electronics, pulsed power systems, and high voltage research equipment. They are designed for use where the operating voltage of standard coaxial connectors such as BNC or N-Type is inadequate. Note that 10KV connectors have a non-constant nominal impedance — they are optimised for voltage holdoff rather than controlled impedance transmission.

Compatibility and Tooling

Compatible with RG58, JBY195, JBY195-LSFH, and LMR195 coaxial cables. Mates with Kings 10KV series plugs including the 10KV-3100-0058 crimp plug. Assembly requires a CRT-1 or CRT-2 crimping tool with INSERT-B crimp die. This connector is mechanically compatible with the Kings 10KV series (Winchester Interconnect), providing a direct replacement for Kings 1064-series bulkhead jacks with the addition of IP67 environmental sealing. RoHS compliant.
