Coaxial Cable, JBY195-LSFH, Per Metre, Unterminated, Low Smoke Halogen Free

JBY195-LSFH is a flexible, low loss 50 ohm coaxial cable with a low smoke, halogen free (LSFH) jacket – ideal for indoor RF links where fire performance and smoke toxicity matter. Electrically it is a 195-series cable with similar dimensions to RG58, but with lower loss and better shielding.

  • Impedance: 50 ohm, flexible 195-series low loss cable
  • Jacket: LSFH (low smoke, halogen free) for indoor and public-area use
  • Frequency range: DC to 6 GHz (typical applications to ~3 GHz)
  • Attenuation (typ.): ≈25.5 dB/100 m @ 450 MHz, 36.5 dB/100 m @ 900 MHz
  • Construction: foamed PE dielectric, aluminium tape plus tinned copper braid
  • Sold per metre: enter the length you need (continuous length supplied where possible)

Product Description

Overview

JBY195-LSFH is a flexible, low loss 50 ohm coaxial cable with a
low smoke, halogen free (LSFH) outer jacket. It is the LSFH version of the
popular JBY195 195-series cable, offering similar electrical performance and size, but with a
low smoke, zero-halogen jacket that is better suited to indoor installations, public buildings,
and other environments where fire and smoke performance are important.

Electrically, JBY195-LSFH is a 195-size 50 ohm RF cable designed for use up to around
6 GHz, with significantly lower loss than standard RG58 and with
good shielding effectiveness (>90 dB). It works well for short to medium RF runs,
pigtails, jumper cables, test leads, and general RF interconnects.

Key Features

  • 50 ohm low loss, 195-series cable – suitable for a wide range of RF and microwave applications.
  • LSFH jacket – low smoke, halogen free outer jacket to reduce toxic emissions in a fire.
  • Flexible construction – solid bare copper centre conductor, foamed PE dielectric, aluminium foil and tinned copper braid.
  • Good shielding – typical shielding effectiveness better than 90 dB.
  • Wide operating range – DC to 6 GHz with typical use up to around 3 GHz.
  • Compact size – approx. 3.44 mm over braid and 4.95 mm over the jacket.
  • Per-metre ordering – order exactly the length you need; continuous lengths supplied wherever possible from stock reels.

Typical Applications

  • Indoor RF links and distribution systems
  • DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) and in-building coverage
  • Short to medium length antenna feeder runs
  • Lab and test-bench interconnects and patch leads
  • Custom cable assemblies using standard 195-series (RG58 / JBY195) connectors
  • Equipment jumpers, pigtails and OEM harnesses

Construction Details

From the centre outwards:

  • Centre conductor: solid bare copper, approx. 0.95 mm (0.037 inch) diameter.
  • Dielectric: foamed polyethylene, approx. 2.87 mm (0.113 inch) diameter.
  • Outer conductor: aluminium tape shield with an overall tinned copper braid (double shield).
  • Diameter over braid: approx. 3.44 mm (0.135 inch).
  • Outer jacket: low smoke, halogen free (LSFH), approx. 4.95 mm (0.195 inch) overall diameter.

Connector Compatibility

JBY195-LSFH is the same size family as JBY195 and RG58, so it works with standard
195-series / RG58 style crimp and clamp connectors (SMA, N, TNC, BNC etc.) that specify
compatibility with JBY195 or JBY195-LSFH. This makes it straightforward to build
custom assemblies using the existing range of 195-series connectors stocked by RFShop.

Compliance and Notes

  • RoHS compliant cable construction.
  • Low smoke, halogen free (LSFH) jacket for improved fire performance and reduced toxic fumes.
  • Supplied from stock reels; continuous lengths shipped where possible. If you need a specific cut pattern or pre-terminated assembly, please contact us.
