Product Description
Flat Panel Directional Antenna, 5.8 GHz, 14 dBi – SPLJ22 (SuperPass)
Part Number: SPLJ22
The SPLJ22 is a compact, directional 5.8 GHz panel antenna designed for Wi-Fi / ISM applications around 5.1–5.9 GHz (UNII / 5.8 GHz ISM). With approximately 14 dBi of forward gain, it concentrates energy into a tight main lobe to push links further, punch through noisy environments and improve SNR where an omni can’t.
- Frequency band: 5.1–5.9 GHz (5.8 GHz centre)
- Gain: ~14 dBi directional panel
- Pattern: narrow forward beam with high front-to-back isolation
- Polarisation: typically linear (mount vertical or horizontal as required)
- Form factor: slim flat panel – easier to mount than a dish/yagi
- Mounting: bracket holes/slots on the rear for wall or pole hardware
- Connector: panel feed (commonly N-type female on this class – confirm on your unit/variant)
Where it helps
- Point-to-point Wi-Fi bridge links at 5.8 GHz
- Point-to-site coverage where you need a defined sector rather than 360°
- Cutting interference from behind/side by using a directional beam
- Outdoor or window/indoor line-of-sight runs where a small, neat panel is preferred
Install tips
- Use low-loss coax at 5.8 GHz (e.g. LMR-240/400 class) and keep runs short
- Aim carefully – small pan/tilt adjustments can make a big difference
- Match polarisation at both ends (V-V or H-H) for best link budget
Compatibility
Works with 50 Ω 5 GHz radios and access points operating in the 5.1–5.9 GHz range (802.11a/n/ac/ax in 5 GHz). Use the correct pigtail/adapter to your radio’s RF port if needed.
