Conflict Minerals Statement
Last updated: October 2025
1. Background
Certain minerals, including tin and gold used in electronic components, are associated with human rights concerns in some regions. As a small distributor, RFShop UK does not purchase raw minerals directly but we recognise that our purchasing decisions can influence the sourcing of materials used in the products we sell.
2. Our Commitment
RFShop UK is committed to supporting and respecting internationally recognised human rights and encouraging transparency regarding the origin of relevant minerals in our supply chain.
3. Scope
This statement applies to RF components we sell that may contain tin (Sn), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W) or gold (Au), for example in plating, soldering or contact surfaces.
4. Our Approach as a Distributor
As a downstream distributor we will:
- Engage with suppliers by requesting information on their sourcing policies and where available whether they source from smelters or refiners that are “conflict-free” or aligned with recognised industry programmes.
- Encourage participation in industry schemes by preferring suppliers that are aligned with recognised responsible minerals initiatives where feasible.
- Assess and respond to risk; where credible information suggests a supplier may be connected to serious human rights abuses in mineral supply chains, we will review that relationship and may seek alternative sources.
- Maintain relevant supplier declarations and correspondence relating to conflict minerals.
5. Limitations
We recognise that mineral supply chains are complex and that full traceability is challenging for small businesses. Our approach is therefore proportionate to our size and role in the supply chain, while aiming to support responsible sourcing wherever possible.
